Bob Repp Thomas: Obituary

Bob Repp Thomas, age 87, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. He was born in Fannin County on July 7, 1932 to the late Frank Thomas and Jennie Brown Thomas. He was a member of Mobile Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ermal Sue Thomas; step-children, Patty Harper, Brenda Perkins, and Bruce Patterson; and siblings, Betty Nicholson, Billy Thomas, and Lewis Thomas.

He is survived by his brother, Rev. James Howard Galloway and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Queen officiating. Music will be provided by Ed Vest. Interment will follow in the Barnes Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Kevin Thomas, Keith Thomas, Russell Thomas, Jamey Nicholson, Troy Harper and Jeff Forrester. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Thursday Evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
