Lola Patterson Haren, age 88, of Epworth, GA, passed away on February 4, 2020 in the North Georgia Assisted Living in Dawsonville, GA. Born in the community of Oasis, GA in Fannin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Leander Jefferson and Mamie Ritchie Patterson. She was a retired educator from the Fannin County School System. Lola was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church and the National Educator Association. She loved spending time with her family especially her favorite granddaughter, time on the family farm, cooking and especially traveling. Her siblings were Lester Clyde Patterson, Ernest Jefferson Patterson, Jessie Roy (Bill) Patterson, Herbert RolandPatterson, and James Luke (Vic) Patterson and Gladys Dunn Patterson all of whom have preceded her in death. Also her son, Grady Haren precedes her in death.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Reese N. and Beth Haren of Cumming, GA and Keith Haren of Marietta, GA; one granddaughter, Sydney Haren also of Cumming, GA.
Memorial services will be conducted on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Keith Ritchie officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the service from 1:00 p.ml until 2:00 p.m. For those desiring memorial contributions, may be made online at www.saveourmonarchs.org.
