Eddie Douglas Jones: Obituary

Mr. Eddie Douglas Jones, age 63, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on February 1, 2020 at his home. Eddie had a passion for the Mountain life and especially hunting and fishing. Born in Copperhill, TN, he was the son of the late Wilburn Jones. Eddie was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Jones; one son, Master David Jones; and one brother, Kenny Jones.

Survivors include three children, Tammy (Wilson) Washington, Amy Jones and Casey (Kristy) Jones; mother, Martha Jones; grandchildren, Jackson Rottenberg, Carson Washington, Jacob Washington, Kris Washington, Caleb Jones and Makenzi Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Randy Beach; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Hedden officiating. Music will be provided by April Hedden and Randy Beach. Interment will follow in the Hipps Chapel Community Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Caleb Jones, Billy Jones, Randall Jones, Roger Ritchie, Rev. Jeremy Hedden and Randy Beach.
