Thelmar “Jane” Jones age 90 of Cohutta, GA passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at her home. She was born on November 1, 1929 in Wehutty, NC to the late Thomas Jefferson Jones and Lou Dora Cross Jones. Jane retired after thirty years from Shaw Industries as a machine operator. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in NC. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Olivo Harrison and Delmar Jones and four brothers, Willard Jones, Wilbert Jones, Wilford Jones and Winston Jones.
Survivors are caretakers, Betty and Coye Watkins of Tunnel Hill, GA; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Swanson Baptist Church Cemetery. A gathering will be held at the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until leaving for the graveside service at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
