Mrs. Denise Hedden Waters, age 66, of Copperhill, TN, passed away on November 29, 2019 in Chattanooga, TN. She was born in Wyandotte, MI, to the late Tommy Joe and Edna Lee Nichols Hedden. Denise was a loving wife and homemaker. She really enjoyed children and especially her grandchildren. Denise was a member of the Bethany Church. She was also preceded in death by her son, Stacy Dunn; and daughter, Melissa Norton.
Survivors include her husband, Herman “Ducie” Waters of Copperhill, TN; sons, Brian Waters of Copperhill, TN, James Harrison of McCaysville, GA and Billy Joe Norton of Murphy, NC; three daughters, Sonja (David) Morgan, Hannah Norton all of Murphy, NC and Lisa Cole of Blue Ridge, GA; brothers, Joe Hedden, Tommy Hedden both of Blue Ridge, GA, Tracy Jordan of Blairsville, GA and Glenn Jordan of Murphy, NC; one sister, Sonja Hedden Hendrix and husband Craig of Epworth, GA; 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. from the Bethany Church with Pastor Jimmy Dickey and Rev. Kevin Chapman officiating. Music will be provided by the Chapman Family. Interment will follow in the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Cain Packett, Tracy Jordan, Tommy Hedden, Isaiah Newman, Craig Hendrix, Christopher Cole. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6-9 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
