Kathleen A. Sayers: Obituary

Kathleen A. Sayers, age 78 of Mineral Bluff, Ga passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 at her home. She was born on January 27, 1941 in Mineral Bluff, GA. Mrs. Sayers was a day care instructor. She attended The Ridge Community Church in Blue Ridge, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert LV Sayers; parents, Ivan R. Abercrombie and Connie Gray Abercrombie; stepson, Dennis R. Sayers; brothers, Parker Abercrombie, Bill Abercrombie, Ernest Abercrombie, Bobby Abercrombie and Davie Abercrombie; sister, Sarah Abercrombie and step-grandson, Sean Stokes.

Survivors are daughter, Connie L. Sayers of Mineral Bluff, GA; step-daughters, Mary Lynn Wilkins (Bill) of Nashville, TN, Marsha Lou Kauffman (Bruce) of Nashville, TN and Georgia Lee Davis of Lenoir City, TN; brothers, Harold Abercrombie of Mobile, AL and Lynn Abercrombie (Teresa) of Copperhill, TN; sisters, Margie Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA, Virginia Helton (Buster) of McCaysville, GA and Karen Green (Jeff) of Adairsville, GA; grandchildren, Robert LV Sayers, II and Jennifer Kathleen McDonald; great-grandchild, Michaelongelo LV McDonald; step-grandchildren, Eric Davis, Ginger Davis, Matthew Stone, Kevin Sayers, Todd Stokes, Melissa Sayers and James Wilkin and step-great-grandchildren, Derrick Davis, Patrick Davis, Courtney Keller, Tyler Stokes, Emily Stokes, Jacob Sayers, Jayden Sayers, Julianna Sayers, Sydney Davis, Addison Davis and Bryce Davis; special nephew, Stacy Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Coffey and Rev. Jack Buchanan officiating. Music will be by Jennifer McDaris Ray. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church (Wolf Creek) Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
