Person of interest sought in connection with armed robbery

The individual pictured above is a person of interest in the armed robbery of the Hwy. 5 BP on Oct. 26.

BLUE RIDGE, GA – A person of interest has been named in the armed robbery of the Hwy. 5 BP gas station, according to the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office.

The individual pictured is currently the person of interest sought in connection with the armed robbery that took place Saturday, Oct. 26.

The BP station in question is located on Hwy. 5, north of downtown Blue Ridge, near Tom Boyd Road.

The armed robbery occurred around 2 p.m., Saturday, according to Captain Justin Turner.

The person pictured entered the store and “hung out for awhile,” according to Turner. After being in the store for several minutes, the person pulled on a mask and displayed a gun while demanding the cash from the register.

After being given close to $500 in cash, the person fled in a vehicle, turning north on Hwy. 5 toward McCaysville.

The vehicle pictured is also of interest to the Sheriff’s Office in regards to the BP armed robbery. The vehicle is believed to be a 1989 to 1995 Dodge Dynasty or Plymouth Acclaim.
