TSA students attend CORE

Students with the FCHS Technology Student Association (TSA) attended the Chapter Officer Retreat for Excellence (CORE) event in Rabun County from September 13^th  through the 16^th.  The students were given the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of their offices and attend leadership training.  The students also competed in the CORE Olympics and raised money for the American Cancer Society.  The students also created their Program of Work which is their plan of action for the 2019-2020 school year.  These students are responsible for leading the activities of the local chapter of the Technology Student Association.

 

Isaiah Cargle and Jacob Queen designed a tiny home and competed in the Architectural Design competition.  James Kyle passed the Statesman test which qualifies him to run for a State Officer position.

 

TSA Advisor Bubba Gibbs was inducted into the Order of the Hammer for his significant contributions to the State TSA organization over the last few years.  Mr. Gibbs is on the State Board of Directors for TSA.

 

The next TSA event is Technology Day at the Georgia National Fair on October 7^th in Perry, Georgia.  Students will compete in engineering design competitions and enjoy the National Fair.
