Mamie Arlean Campbell: Obituary

Mamie Arlean Campbell, age 89, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. She was born in Fannin County, on April 13, 1930, to the late William Spencer Patterson and Ella Elizabeth Dunn Patterson. She was a member of Cherry Log Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Poley Gordon Campbell; children, David Campbell, Andy Campbell, Paulette Campbell, and Ruth Ann Key; grandson, Timmy Walden; and siblings, Claude Higdon, Roy Higdon, Marie Ballew, Lake Patterson, Helen Bailey, Les Patterson, Calvin Patterson, Flora Mae Rogers, Clyde Patterson, Carl Patterson, and Glen Patterson.

She is survived by her children, Jerri Walden of Epworth and Wanda Campbell of Morganton; grandchildren, Tammy Walden, Tony Key, Chuck Key, Joseph Walden, Megan Cheatham, and Sarah Taylor; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Cherry Log Baptist Church with Rev. Doyle Davis and Rev. Joey Patterson officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Joey and Lindy Patterson. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Joseph Walden, Tony Key, Chuck Key, Anthony Cheatham, Jamey Taylor, and Joe Ballew serving as pallbearers. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
