Robin Lang: Obituary

Mrs.Robin Lang, of Fayetteville GA, passed away on September 11,2019 at her sister’s home in Fayetteville, GA. Robin was the daughter of the late Kathryn and Charlie Waters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lang.

Robin is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Lang of Atlanta, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Laveta and Stephen Wehunt, Fayetteville, GA.

Robin was a dedicated mother to her daughter, Elizabeth. She home-schooled Elizabeth until college, where Elizabeth graduated with her Masters Degree in Psychology. When Robin was forty seven years old she was diagnosed with a neurodegeneratve disease similar to a slow progressive Lou Gehrig disease. Through the years she slowly progressed to being on a ventilator for the last five years. Robin had a spirit of never giving up. She was hospitalized many times. She never complained. For the last 10 years, she resided at her sister and brother-in-law’s house in Fayetteville,Georgia. Over the years she had the love and care of very special care givers. They became family. They were Christine Yorke, Esther Amponsem, Wilma Blunt, Lourdes Dinina, Perpetua Gymabra, Iona Durham, and Sandra Fulton. She also had the assistance of a special respiratory therapist, Ursula Slaughter. Robin was unable to attend church but was ministered to by the Rev.Harris on every visit to the hospital from Jonesboro First Baptist Church. Robin fought a hard battle. She always relied on her faith in Jesus.

A graveside service will be held at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Epworth, GA at 4:00PM on Friday September 13, 2019 by Rev. Claude Mathis. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
