Ronnie Anthony Hughes, age 49, of Copperhill, TN passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019. He was born on March 9, 1970 in Polk County to Young D. Hughes and Marie Crawford Hughes. Ronnie was a self-employed painter and was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his father, Young, D. Hughes and his wife, Beth Postell Hughes.
He is survived by his mother, Marie Hughes; siblings and their spouses, Jimmy and Angie Hughes of Epworth, Becky and Stephen Cruse of Morganton, Debbie and Mike Kisner of Cleveland, and David and Joan Hughes of Benton; nieces and nephews, Laura Hughes Scoggins, Courtney and Hannah Cruse, Adam Hughes, and Jami Hicks; special friend, Sherry Griffith; and canine companion, Pebbles.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with David Hicks officiating. Music will be provided by Rose Cross and Pam Ensley. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with David Hughes, Stephen Cruse, Mike Kisner, Tyler Hicks, Adam Hughes, and Kordell Griffith serving as pallbearers. Jimmy Love will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 12:00 pm until the funeral hour of 2:00 pm.
