TeamFYNSports Writer’s Player of the Week – Cohutta Hyde

Congratulations to FYN’s player of the week for the Rebels basketball team, Cohutta Hyde! Cohutta is a sophomore at Fannin County High School who is going on playing his second year of the sport for the high school.

Hyde is a dual athlete who not only plays basketball, but he also had the position of a defensive back and a wide receiver on Fannin’s football team for the past two years. In this basketball season 2018 Tip-Off Tournament, the sophomore was selected to receive the title as one of the All-Tournament Players.

When asking head basketball coach Shan Culpepper about the Rebel, he stated, “Cohutta is a sophomore who is learning how to be a good leader for us as a team going forward. He is quick on his feet, wants to win, works hard every day in practice, and always gives great effort.”
