Haven C. Kiker, age 91, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 in Blue Ridge, GA. Born on June 4, 1927 in Morganton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Millard C. and Minnie Davis Collins. She was a loving mother and life long homemaker. Mrs. Kiker loved gardening and canning her harvest and growing flowers. She was a superb cook and a talented seamstress making clothes for herself and her children. She was a member of the Blue Ridge First Baptist Church where she was active in mission work with Mineral Springs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dugger Paul Kiker, Sr.; and siblings, Helen Green, Hazel Cantrell and Blaine Collins.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Connie K. (David) Hoodenpyle of Melbourne, FL; son, Dugger Paul (Susan B.) Kiker of McCaysville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Blake and Wanda Collins of Morganton, GA; grandchildren, Alex Whitener and Ansley Waters.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at 2:00 pm from Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge with Rev. Harold Willis officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Scott Kiker, Robert Taylor, Jeff Collins and Blaine Collins, Jr. serving as pallbearers. Ralph Yeary, Waylon Collins, Bill Collins, Carl Collins and Jimmy Collins will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Thursday prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
