Brenda S. Guy, age 51 of Blue Ridge, passed away November 16, 2018. Ms. Guy was born January 25, 1967, in Blue Ridge, GA to Corine V. Bell and the late Ervin H. Bell. Ms. Guy attended Higher Praise Church of God in Cherry Log, GA. Brenda was an incredible, proud loving mother and everyone knew her as a true friend. She was admired for her adventurous spirit and her ability to find treasure in all things she pursued. Loved ones describe Brenda as ambitious, hardworking, nurturing, and always willing to help others. Brenda enjoyed exploring nature, traveling to new places, and creating new memories filled with laughter and family. Brenda’s most cherished value was “do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

Survivors include: mother, Corine Bell; son, Shane J. (Antonio) Thomas; daughter, Amy N. (Christina) Guy; sisters: Sonya Bell, Kathy Stiles, Desmar (James) Davenport, and Linda Bell; brothers: Eugene Beavers and Henry Bell; nieces and nephews: Ray (Brittany) Beavers, Kaytlin Beavers, Ashlyn Beavers, Raymond Beavers, Andrew (Kala) Ballew, Franklin Eaton, Jody Davis, Beverly Davis, Misty Beavers, Makallee Beavers, Brandon Beavers, Joshua Beavers Tanner, Brittany Black, Kayla Bell and Zachary Ramsey; and father of children: Tony Guy.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA, Friday, November 23, 2018, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Funeral services: Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 1:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Ash officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morganton, GA. Pallbearers: Raymond Beavers, Andrew Ballew, Franklin Eaton, Harold Murphy, Alvin Beavers, Bobby Beavers, Robert Guy, Sam Guy, Robby Odem and Scott Rodgers. Flower bearers: Kaytlin Beavers, Ashlyn Beavers, Brittany Beavers, Carla Farist, Kala Ballew, Misty Beavers, Makallee Beavers, Jody Davis, and Beverly Davis.
