Rose Kimsey, 73 of Turtletown, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018. Rose was born in Coker Creek, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mamie and Dewey Hamby; husband, Randall Kimsey; granddaughter, Carah Kimsey; brother, Newbert Hamby, and sister Edrew Hamby.
She is survived by her children, Darren Kimsey of Farner, Ellen Carr of Turtletown, and Heather Iverson (Lance) of Nashville; grandchildren J.R. Garrett, Carder Kimsey, Daniel Iverson, Nicholas Iverson and Hannah Iverson; siblings A.J. Hamby (Kathy), Marion Hamby, Hazel Dalton, Margaret Hatchett (Howard), L.B. Hamby, Ruby Nicholson, Wanda Wilburn (Johnny) and Linda Nix (Johnny); and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel. An Eulogy will be provided by Darren Kimsey. Interment will follow at a later date in the Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 6:00 p.m until the service hour of 8:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
