Floyd Raymond Cruse: Obituary

Floyd Raymond Cruse, age 78 of Blue Ridge passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at his home. He was born on June 9, 1940 in Fannin County, GA to the late Howard Levi Cruse and Martha Jane Stephens Cruse. Mr. Cruse retired from Gold Kist in the hanger department. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Cruse was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Jessica Davis.

Survivors are his wife, Owa Ware Cruse of Blue Ridge, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Adam Alex Cruse (Christina) of Blue Ridge, GA; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Randall Cox (Vickie) of Commerce, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Audrey Davis, Marilyn Parker, Karen Blaylock (Jeff) and Tina Pilcher (Jason) all of Chatsworth, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Ann Buchannon (Gene) of Blue Ridge, GA; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Timothy Cox, Randall Cox, Chris Cruse, Bradley Grizzle, Justin Green and Terry Flowers. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 4:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
