Dewayne Mull, age 82, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in Blue Ridge, GA. He was born on November 30, 1935 in Fannin County. He was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church where he served as Choir Director for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Mull and Mamie Patterson Mull; son, Terry Mull; grandson, William Cole; and brothers, Glenn Mull and Dewey Mull.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darlene “Dot” Ledford Mull of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and James Sturgeon of Blue Ridge, Sheila and Gary Stanley of Ellijay, Sherry and Kent Bowen of Woodstock, and Janet and Merrill Jackson of Blue Ridge; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Betsy Mull of Blue Ridge and Corey Mull of Blue Ridge; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Blannie Gray of Blue Ridge, Mildred and Randy Stewart of Tennessee, Pauline and Carl Cobb of Cobb County, Nina Gatch of Mableton, Evelyn and James Young of Blue Ridge, and Linda Sue Hulsey of Blue Ridge; and eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 15, 2018, at 4:00 pm from Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Williams and Rev. Harold Weeks officiating. Music will be provided by Brian Huffman. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Merrill Jackson Jr., Adam Stahl, Tyler Stahl, and Roger Beavers.
