Mr. Norman Harrison Bell, age 80, of Mineral Bluff passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at his home. He was born on November 1, 1937 in Mineral Bluff. He worked as a School Bus Driver for the Fannin County Board of Education. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mineral Bluff. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Harvey Bell and Beth M. Bell; first wife, Carolyn Bell; second wife, Rachel Bell; brothers, Harvey Bell, Jr. and Kenneth Bell; and sisters, Pearl Garren, Jane Thurman, and Pauline (Albert) Arp.
He is survived by son, Norman Jeffery (Renee) Bell of Isabella; brothers, Herman (Wanda) Bell of Mineral Bluff and Harmon (Glenda) Bell of Buford; sister, Margie Bell of Marietta; grandson, Joshua Aaron Bell; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge with Rev. Don Padgett and Rev. Jesse Sisson officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Johnathan Adams. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. James Hyatt, Steve Byers, Phillip Barker, Bob Hawkins, Tim Hawkins and Jamie Palmer will serve as pallbearers. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Friday Evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
