James Arthur Flowers, age 82 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018, at his home. Mr. Flowers was born May 12, 1936, in Mineral Bluff, GA to the late Henry Authur Flowers and the late Oma Desma Ware Flowers. A member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, James worked as a carpenter and his hobby was his work. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Rogers, Rosa Lee Brown, and Ruby Flowers, his brothers, Kenneth Flowers, Walter Flowers, and the Flowers Twin Boys.

Survivors include: wife, Shirley Ann Flowers, sons, James Howard Flowers, Robert D. (Charlotte) Flowers, Joseph Flowers, Heath (Pamella) Flowers, James Arthur Flowers, Jr., and Randy (Sheila) Clore, daughters, Evelyn Flowers and Penny L. (Douglas) Wishart, brothers, Robert B. Flowers and Charles (Francis) Flowers, sisters, Mildred Ross, Etta Ruth (Eddie) Greenway and Katherine Raper, and sixty seven grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and their spouses.

Funeral services: Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Flowers officiating. Music by Charlotte Flowers, Willa Dean Ware, Brittany Totherow, and Zachery Flowers. Interment will follow in the Van Hook Cemetery. Pallbearers: Zachary Flowers, Kevin Wishart, Joseph Flowers, Morgan Flowers, Austin Teems and James Howard Flowers, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Saturday, June 2, 2018, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
