Mrs. Ruth C. Turpin, age 69, of Epworth, GA, passed away peacefully at her home on May 30, 2018. Born in Bryson City, NC, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Wesley and Virginia Keener Carson. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Turpin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Epworth and was active with the Quilt Ministry. She loved hiking, camping, cooking for others and always helped others.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Turpin of Epworth, GA; daughter, Kim Swinehart of Blue Ridge, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Elizabeth Turpin of McCaysville, GA; grandchildren, Karson Swinehart, Kendra Swinehart, William Turpin and Wyatt Turpin; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Carolyn Carson of Murphy, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Ann Carson Farmer and David of Woodstock, GA; sister-in-law and husband, Edna and Steve Kyle of Sweetwater, TN; double first cousin and husband, Joyce and Bob Biggs of Bryson City, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Epworth First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan and Rev. Rubin Smith officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Doug Simonds. Members of the Epworth First Baptist Church Quilt Ministry have been selected to serve as an honorary escort. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:00 noon until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. In lieu of Flowers, the family request that donations in honor of Mrs. Turpin may be made to the Epworth First Baptist Church Quilt Ministry at P.O.
