Ronnie J. Weaver: Obituary

Mr. Ronnie J. Weaver, age 76, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away from a brief illness Saturday May 26, 218 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA surrounded by his family. As he entered the presence of the Lord, his family sang his favorite song “Amazing Grace: (My Chains are Gone).
Ronnie was born in Ellijay, GA to the late Burford and Effie Weaver. Later he served his country in the United States Army. He was a member and deacon of Temple Baptist Church in Morganton, GA. Ronnie was totally devoted in his enduring faith to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to his wife and daughter. He enjoyed being outdoors, restoring old cars, working in the yard and with his flowers.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Linda Underwood Weaver; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Weaver Trusty and Tim Trusty; beloved father-in-law, Dan Underwood all of Blue Ridge, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Lynn Weaver, Rickey and Linda Weaver, Barry and Tabitha Weaver and Ben and Carol Weaver; sister, Carol Weaver Pierce; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the Akins Funeral Home in Blue Ridge with Dr. Roger Beck and Rev. Harold Willis officiating. Music was provided by Greg Norton, Cindy Petty and the Underwood Family. Interment followed in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens with full military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
