James Beatcher Loudermilk, better known to family and friends as “Butch”, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Mr. Loudermilk was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a son of the late Dave and Ruby Swanson Loudermilk. He was retired as a Miner in Construction and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening but especially enjoyed sitting on his porch drinking coffee.
He is survived y his wife of fifty two years, Judith Tomlinson Loudermilk of the home; children, Jeff (Lisa) Loudermilk and Lisa (Jeff) Payne; brother, Melvin Pinky Smith; grandchildren, Sierra Loudermilk,William Loudermilk, Clara Payne, Anthony Loudermilk and Emma Payne; nephews and nieces, Nathan (April) Smith, Jeremy (Heather) Smith, Amber Pritchett, David (Krista) Tomlinson, and other nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Loudermilk will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Akins Funeral Home with a Memorial Service held at a later date. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill is in charge of the arrangements.
