Christine Alma Dickey: Obituary

Christine Alma Dickey, age 77, of Morganton, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 in Morganton, GA. She was born on April 9, 1941 in McCaysville, GA. She was a member of Bethany Church. She was a loving mom, sister, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen “Edward” Dickey, Sr. and Georgia Gertrude Lackey Dickey, and husband, Marion (Joe) Waters.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Becky Waters Howard and Bill of Morganton, and Jenny Waters Toole and John of Macon; grandchildren, Cristy (Greg) Elrod, Tracey Toole (David Poole)); B.J. Howard (Tina Hayes), and Victoria Lofty Brookshire; great-grandchildren, Merritt, Brady, Lexi, Tripp, and John Anderson; brothers, Jimmy Dickey, Joe (Mary Jo) Dickey, and Eddie Dickey; and sisters, Juline (Denny) Mixon and Carolyn (Charles) Walters.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 11:00 am from Bethany Church. Interment will follow in the Anderson Cemetery. T.J. Dickey, Jonah Dickey, Austin Dickey, Jacob Dickey, Michael Guy, Nathan Henderson, and Joel Dickey will serve as pallbearers. Chris Dickey and Tony Todd will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, May 18 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
