Water advisories continue for McCaysville, Copperhill

BLUE RIDGE, Ga. – The Fannin County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) posted a water conservation advisory for McCaysville water customers Friday after filter work at the city’s water plant continues, according the Fannin County official website.

The advisory states:

THE CITY OF MCCAYSVILLE IS ASKING ALL CUSTOMERS OF THE MCCAYSVILLE WATER SYSTEM TO CONSERVE WATER WHILE THE WATER PLANT IS UNDERGOING WORK ON THE FILTERS. WORK IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 18TH AND IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR 7-10 DAYS.

In addition, the city of Copperhill, Tennessee, which receives its water from the McCaysville system, has issued a boil advisory for its water customers. Water is expected to be delivered from another location to fill Copperhill’s tank system over the next few days.
