Mr. Charles Guinn “Lefty” Maughan: Obituary

Charles Guinn “Lefty” Maughan, age 70 of Copperhill, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin. He was born on February 17, 1947 in Ducktown to the late Eugene Maughan and Bertha Smith Maughan. Lefty was a blueberry farmer. He was a Baptist.

Survivors are daughter, Teresa Harris (Dwight Dilbeck) of Copperhill, TN; son, Charles “Charlie” (Tabitha) Maughan of Browns Mills, NJ; brother, Rev. Bill Maughan (Linda) of Turtletown, TN; grandchildren, Tyler Harris, Carley Maughan and Cameron Maughan also survive.

Memorial services will be conducted on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Stephen Smith officiating. Music will be by Glen Hughes. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to help defray final expenses. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill is in charge of the arrangements.
