A Spooktacular Display in Blue Ridge

BLUE RIDGE, GA – Darkness fell upon the streets of downtown Blue Ridge, and with the darkness came all of the spirits and sprites. Residents crowded East Main Street to celebrate Halloween.

The Blue Ridge Business Association hosted its annual Halloween Safe Zone on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017.

Businesses set up along East Main Street to welcome a crowd of all ages for a night of family friendly fun downtown. From trick-or-treating to a ghoulish costume contest, the Halloween Safe Zone has become an event for all to enjoy.

Shops handed out candy as children dressed in costumes circled the street. It gave families an opportunity to experience the joys of trick-or-treating in a rural town.

The annual costume contest has become a much anticipated event with categories ranging from infant to adult, as well as families and pets. Residents of all ages felt welcome to enter.

Smiles were on the faces of children and adults alike as they partook in the festivities. The Halloween Safe Zone gives locals an opportunity to enjoy our downtown area and visitors a glimpse of holidays in a small town.
