Mr. Winston Harold Cross: Obituary

Winston Harold Cross, age 56, of Mineral Bluff, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at his home. Born on December 1, 1960 in McCaysville, GA, he was the son of the late Wendell G. and Eula Mae Roberson Cross. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was self-employed building high-rise buildings. He is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Ralph Cecil Cross; and sister, Ruby Ann Cross.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Cross of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Jeffrey Barrett of Mineral Bluff, Crystal and Mark Conley of Morganton, and Christina and Glen Dilbeck of Blue Ridge; son, Ray Dwayne Cross of Florida; grandchildren, Jade Underwood, Tyler Conley, Tyson Conley, Jacob Dilbeck, Raygan Dilbeck, Sabrina Dilbeck, Jeremiah Dilbeck, Trinity Neal, Alexander Neal, Aurora Neal, Scott Neal, Alicia Rose, and Travis Barrett; great-granddaughter, Kennedi Rose; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Charlene Cross, Randall Cross, Benny and Gay Cross, Henry Cross, and Bill and Hazel Cross; and sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Lee Roy Dillard, Betty Jean Tarpley, Jeannette Cross, and Delores Cross.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 2:00 pm from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Doyle Davis officiating. Music was provided by Raygan Dilbeck, Stanley and Ann Cross. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Charles Cross, Randall Cross, Benny Cross, Henry Cross, Bill Cross, and Franklin Wright served as pallbearers. The grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help defray from final expenses.
