Kiaya Jones Places in Area FFA Quiz Career Development Event

Fannin County FFA member Kiaya Jones recently placed 16 th out of 40 in the Area 1 FFA Quiz Career Development Event.  The event was held at Cass High School in White, Georgia on September 28, 2017.
The FFA Quiz Career Development Event allows students to develop leadership skills by participating in memorization and test taking activities and by stimulating interest in leadership and citizenship.  Participants must take a written test and answer questions from the judges indicating familiarity with the subject and the ability to answer quickly.  

FFA is a national organization of over 600,000 members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture.  FFA is an integral part of the agricultural education program in public schools.  The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
KiAya Jones, a sophomore, is the daughter Renee and Shadwick Jones of Mineral Bluff, Georgia. Cherie White is Fannin County High School’s FFA advisor.  The FFA Quiz Career Development Event is sponsored by the Georgia FFA Foundation.
