Dennis Lee Kimsey: Obituary

Dennis Lee Kimsey, age 73 of Turtletown passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017. He was born on November 18, 1943 in Polk County, TN to the late Jay Paul Kimsey and Aleece Runion Kimsey. Mr. Kimsey worked for Tennessee Copper Company and Tennessee Valley Authority. He served in the United States Navy.

Surviviors are his daughter, Dana Allen of Murphy, NC; step-daughter. Paula Price of Ducktown, TN; son, Travis Kimsey of Turtletown, TN; step-son, Chris Price of Morganton, GA; grandchildren, Isaac Allen, Ian Price, Laurel Price, Andrew Price and Kristin Watson also survived.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 3:00 pm from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Brad Ledford officiating. Music will be by Janice Reid. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Gary Nicholson, Darren Kimsey, Derek Kimsey, Jeremy Kimsey, Dale Hopkins and Tim Kimsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Isaac Allen, Ian Price and Andrew Price. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill is in charge of the arrangements.
