Mr. Barry A. Rinks, age 48 of Blue Ridge, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017, at his home. Barry was born October 7, 1968, in Roxboro, NC to the late William H. Rinks and Linda Plunk Rinks. A member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge, he was preceded in death by father, William H. Rinks. Barry worked many years for Duracell, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on old cars in his spare time.
Survivors include wife, Amy Standridge Rinks, mother, Linda Rinks, step-son, Benson Galloway, brother, William Aubrey (Molly) Rinks, sister, Juanita (Michael) Stockwell, sister-in-law, Sonya Standridge, brother-in-law, Stoney (Lisa) Standridge, nieces and nephews, Colton Rinks, Baylee Rinks, Ava Stockwell, Emma Stockwell, Ethan Stockwell, Abe Stockwell, Tyler Standridge, Kendall Standridge and Wyatt Standridge, special friend, Seth Taylor, also his beloved dog, Okie.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 11:00 am at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Richardson officiating. Music provided by Lydia Arnall. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 4, 2017, at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home from 5-8 pm.
