William Alvin Ledford, age 93 of Farner, TN passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017. Mr. Ledford was born on January 2, 1924 to the late Wesly Ledford and Abbie Bell Ledford in Shoal Creek, NC. He retired from Cities Services as a float plant operator. Mr. Ledford was of the Christian Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Eva Inez Payne Ledford and Katherine Imogene Carter Ledford and grandson, Kevin Ledford.

Survivors are sons, Tony Ledford (Rachel) of Maryville, TN, Dennis Ledford (Janet) of Ducktown, TN and Windom Ledford (Carolyn) of Cleveland, TN; step-sons, Jerry Carter (Lois) of Lorton, VA ant Steve Carter of Farner, TN; daughters, Reva Nix (Homer) of Cleveland, TN and Naomi Towl of Farner, TN; step-daughters, Jeanette Carter of Farner, TN and Billie Jean Burger (Norris) of Farner, TN; brother, Kenneth Ledford of Stanley, NC; sister, Bertie Panter of Gastonia, NC; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandsons also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Farner Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 138 Underwood Drive, Farner, TN 37333 with Rev. Donald Weaver officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Carter, Mark Borts, Scotty Ledford, Doug Akins and Clyde Raper. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
