A small group of adults and students from FCHS returned on June 16 from an 11-day European tour to Switzerland, Italy, France and Spain. The tour was led by FCHS foreign language teacher Brian Tesoriero.
The travelers included Josh Mellman, Waylon Arrowood, Jamison Cox, Peyton and Allison Hopkins, Holly and Mauro Viccaro, Marilyn Thomas and Christine and Brian Tesoriero.
Some of the highlights of the tour included Mt. Pilatus, Switzerland in which the group took a cable car up to the lookout point on Mount Pilatus and enjoyed their view of the Swiss Alps. They then enjoyed a leisurely cogwheel train down the Alps before they took a nearly two-hour leisurely boat ride across Lake Lucerne. The participants also explored Lake Come and the Cinque Terre region of Italy before spending time in Southern, France. Avignon and Nimes were big hits in France! To top it all off the last destination was Barcelona, Spain where the group was able to secure tickets inside of the famous Sagrada Familia church and the Park Guell of Barcelona. They were able to dip their toes and swim in the Mediterranean in Italy and Spain.

In the future, Brian Tesoriero will be escorting adult and family tours only! All participants must be adults, unless they are traveling with a parent or responsible family member. This will allow for a more leisurely walking pace while on tour as well as accommodations that meet the requirements of adults.
