Johnnie Mae Cearley, age 79 of Ducktown, TN passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Johnnie Mae was a daughter of the late William Claude and Phoebie Lowery Higdon. She was a member of the Ducktown Friendship #499 OES and was of the Baptist Faith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clois Cearley.
She is survived by son, William C. Cearley ; sisters, Liz Lassiter, Susie Higdon and Gladys Prather; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 2: 00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Gary Waters officiating. Music will be by Janice Reid. Pallbearers include Wesley Cearley, Tim Dunn, John Dunn, Terry Dunn, James Cearley and Kaleb Miller. Honorary pallbearers include, Weston Cearley, Austin Powell and Steven Miller. Interment will follow in the Pan Wil cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Johnnie Mae may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
