Michael Charles (Mickey) Sparks, age 58, of Morganton, GA passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Sparks was born on September 18, 1958 in Young Harris, GA to the late Buel and Thyra Bernice Cobb Sparks. He was a truck driver and member of Liberty Hill Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Dillard Sparks of the home; daughters, Kim Sparks of Morganton, GA and Melissa Millsaps of Andrews, NC; sister, Mary S. (Eddie) Tanner of Blairsville, GA; a grandchild, Heather Johnson; and a great grandchild, Kylee Ingles.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Mathis officiating. Interment will follow in Hemptown Baptist Church Cemetery.
