Helen Melvine Deal: Obituary

Helen Melvine Deal, age 79, of McCaysville, GA passed away Friday, May 5, 2017. Helen was born in Ducktown , TN to the late Robert Simon and Bonnie Tankersley O’Neal. She was a homemaker and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Deal, son, Robert Donald Deal, siblings Willard O’Neal, Albert O’Neal and Robert O’Neal.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Barron (Karen) Deal of McCaysville, GA, Scott (Julie) Deal of McCaysville, GA; siblings, Carl O’Neal of Epworth, GA, Melvin O’Neal, Ed O’Neal and Charlene Mitchell, all of Blue Ridge, GA, Ronnie O’Neal of Copperhill, TN, Newell O’Neal of McCaysville, GA; sister-in-law, Willa O’Neal of Blue Ridge, GA; four grandchildren, Jake Reuse, Mallory Deal, Madelyn Deal, John Scott Deal; Step-grandchildren, Kayla Powell, Wesley Cearley and Adam Barnett.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 2:30 PM from the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. James Worley and Rev. Lamar O’Neal officiating. Music was by the Kenny O’Neal Family and Tammy Kaylor. Pallbearers included Jake Reuse, John Scott Deal, Trent Galloway, Kevin O’Neal, Chris O’Neal, Terry O’Neal, Guinn O’Neal and Wesley Cearley. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie O’Neal, Joey O’Neal, Kenny O’Neal and Greg O’Neal.
