The FCHS chapter of the National Technical Honor Society held the annual Induction and Honor Cord ceremony on April 24, 2017 at the FCHS PAC. Thirty-six juniors were inducted into the Society, and 44 senior members were presented with honor cords. Only junior Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) students who have achieved at least a 92 overall grade average throughout their high school years and at least a 93 average in all CTAE classes are eligible for consideration. A faculty committee then considers whether each of these students meets the seven NTHS criteria of skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, and leadership. Being selected for membership in the Society is one of the highest honors a student can achieve in high school.

Additionally, two of our senior members received $1,000 NTHS scholarships. Brianna Rogers and Ethan Taylor each have been awarded 2017 NTHS Jon H. Poteet $1,000 scholarships.
