Michael S. Payne, age 75 of Ducktown, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 in Stone Mountain, GA. Mr. Payne was born April 14, 1941 in Atlanta, GA to the late Glenore Payne and the late Ruth Ann Sanford Payne. Michael served his country by enlisting in the US Army.
Survivors include: two daughters, Tracy Payne and Juli Payne Dykes (Brian), one son, Andrew Payne, two brothers, Nick and Danny Payne, two grandchildren, Casey Wasmund (Natalie) and Brad Wasmund (Shelly), and two great-grandchildren, Bennet and Graham Wasmund.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister Keith Ritchie officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5-8 pm.
