Fannin County Students Audio Video Program traveled to CNN and GPS

Students in the Fannin County High School Audio Video program traveled to CNN and Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) on Monday, April 20^th.  Students were able to tour the CNN studios and learn about the fast paced news industry first hand.  Students also toured the GPB studios in the afternoon.  The GPB studio tour was more in depth, and students were allowed to sit in the actual studios, use the green screens, and work the cameras.  GPB consists of two major parts, video and radio.  Students were able to see how large scale studios operate.

 

The video industry in Georgia continues to grow, nearing $2 Billion in annual economic impact in the State.  The Audio and Video industry has a large demand for skilled employees, and the video program and radio station at FCHS give students the opportunity to explore these careers.  Students were able to see that the equipment available to them at FCHS is extremely similar to what is being used by some of the largest audio and video companies in the world.
