Muriel Cearley: Obituary

Muriel Cearley, age 94 of Morganton, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mrs. Cearley was born October 24, 1922 in Morganton, GA to the late Jean Jones and the late Nora Bruce Jones. Muriel was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking care of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Muriel was preceded in death by her husband, Ford Cearley.

Survivors include: son, Joe Cearley, daughter, Patricia Kefalos, son, Alvin Cearley, sister, Ann Searcy, sister, Beautelle Mason, grandchildren, Jennifer West, Gretchen Hill, Kelsey Cearley, Alex Cearley, Stanford Kefalos, great grandchildren, Joseph West, Aisling Hill, Arlo Hill & Marian Hill.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Swafford and Rev. Geri Worley officiating. Music provided by Theresa Ross. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The gentlemen serving as Pallbearers will be Alex Cearley, Mark Winders, James Weaver, Steve Ross, Luke Ross, Joe West and J.R. Hill.

The family will receive friends at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Saturday, March 11, 2017, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
