Mildred Ann Ray: Obituary

Mildred Ann Ray, age 68 of Ducktown, TN passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at her home. Mildred was born on November 13, 1948 in Copperhill, TN to the late Hugh Melvin Dobbs and Margaret Rita Price Dobbs. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors are her sons, Michael M. Ray (Rebecca) of Farner, TN and David Lee Ray of Ducktown, TN; brother, Frank Dobbs of White County, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Arthur Wayne Purcell of Ranger, NC; granddaughter, Amy June Ray and grandson, Rusty Ray.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Raymond Akens officiating. Music will be by Ann Prince. Pallbearers will be Michael Ray, Steven Ledford, Bruce Tucker, Richard Deaver and Wayne Purcell. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to help defray final expenses.
