Mr. Dossie David Patterson: Obituary

Dossie David Patterson, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Rome, GA. Born on September 11, 1951 in Fannin County, he was the son of the late Clinton Patterson and Opal Panzie Cleo Rogers Patterson. He owned and operated Patterson’s Dozer Company.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Tony Payne of Blue Ridge and Tera and Kevin Tankersley of Blue Ridge; brothers, A.D. Patterson of Mineral Bluff and Frank Patterson of Blue Ridge; sisters, Fannie Mae Sanford of Ellijay, Barbara Ware of Blue Ridge, Wanda Cole of Blue Ridge, Maudell Southerland of Ellijay, Debra Patterson of Blue Ridge, and Lecia Lamb of London, KY; and grandchildren, Jordan Tankersley, Morgan Tankersley, Kirsten Tankersley, Gracey Tankersley, Korey Tankersley, Kharah Tankersley.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 20, 2017, at 2:00 pm from Akins Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Delmar Davenport and Tommy Ash will officiate. Music will be provided by the Tankersley Girls (Granddaughters). Interment will follow in the Liberty Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. Cody Akins, Mark Wade, Brandon Wright, Chris Ross, Toby Watson, and Rigoderto Flores will serve as pallbearers.

The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
