Grace Willene Miller, age 88, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at her home. Born on April 28, 1928 in Fannin County, she was the daughter of the late John Edgar Panter and Margie Leanna Turner Panter. She was one of eleven children. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She worked as a Secretary for Nationwide Insurance. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Duard Panter, Kenneth R. Panter, and Clifford Panter; and sisters, Edna Earle Panter, Dorothy S. Tarpley, and Ruby Panter Hendon.
She is survived by sister, Wanda Jean Panter of Blue Ridge; brothers, James E. Panter of Canton, OH, Lloyd Lavelle Panter of Douglasville, GA, and Dale Panter of Blue Ridge; sister-in-law, Joyce Panter of Blue Ridge; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Thrasher officiating. Music was provided by Imogene Stewart. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Colby Panter, Kyle Panter, Rodney Panter, John Hendon, Tom Shepherd, Scott Stewart, Toby Rhodes, Alan Panter, and Barry Panter.
