Frances Annie Bell “Penny” Thomas Presley, age 72, of Morganton, GA passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. TN. Ms. Presley was born in Blairsville, GA on July 26, 1944 to the late Dennis Thomas and Laura Tilson Thomas. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, C.J. Thomas, Junior Thomas, William Thomas, Janie Allen, Louise Allen, Stella Mae Kincaid, and Cora Bell Thomas.

She is survived by a son, Brad Beaver of Morganton; daughter, Lisa Davis of Temple, GA; sisters, Rose Allen of Morganton, Vonnie York of Texas, and Hattie Marie Gazaway of Morganton; grandchildren, Leighann Shaw. Bradley Beaver. Taylor Davis, Tabitha Davis, and Marla Beaver; and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Eric Davenport and Rev. Luther Thomas officiating. Pallbearers were Bradley Beaver, Richard Gazaway, William Junior Gazaway, John Allen, Ken Borts, and Michael Borts. Interment followed in Oak Grove Church Cemetery.
