Mrs. Fay Oleta Shields Weaver: Obituary

Mrs. Fay Oleta Shields Weaver, age 84, of College Park, GA passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at her home. She was born in Cherokee County, GA, on June 23, 1932, to the late Harley Shields and Lowneys Fox Shields. She retired as an Insurance Agent for Weaver Insurance Agency and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Cecil Weaver and brother, Roy Harley Shields.

She is survived son and daughter-in-law, James and Diana Weaver of Ellijay; daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and James McEachern of Fayetteville, GA and Deborah and Larry Dyer of Morganton; sister, Helen Mae Arp of Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law, Mattie Shields; and ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge. Rev. Delmar Davenport will officiate. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: James Weaver, Larry Dyer, James McEachern, Luke McEachern, and Chris Brown.
