Eugene Edward “Boge” Boggs, age 88 of Ducktown, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Mr. Boggs was born December 5, 1927, in Ducktown, TN to the late Gourley Boggs and the late Lillian Chancey Boggs.

Mr. Boggs was a member of Mine City Baptist Church, he graduated from Ducktown High School and enjoyed attending the school reunions. He retired from TN. Chemical Company working most of his time at London Mill. He was a very social person who enjoyed talking and spending time with other people. He was preceded in death by brother, Charles Wallace Boggs.

Survivors include: wife of 63 years, Bonnie Lou Cordelle Boggs, children: John Gurley Boggs, Cindy (Ronnie) Moss, Mary Boggs Lane, Louanne (Clarke) Lawhorn Osborne, Martha Boggs & David Patterson, Patti (Jeff) Welch. Grandchildren: Nicholas Welch, Derrick Welch, Amy Lawhorn, Andrew Jackson Boggs, and faithful companion; his dog, Juno.

Funeral services: Monday, October 31, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Welch officiating. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers: Nick Welch, Derrick Welch, John Gurley Boggs, Ronnie Moss, David Patterson and Jeff Welch.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Sunday, October 30, 2016, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
