Mrs. Sharon Blanche Norton: Obituary

Mrs. Sharon Blanche Norton, age 58, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at her home. She was born on November 3, 1957, in Blue Ridge, to the late Grady Watkins and Kate Green Watkins. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and her flower garden. She was a member of Harvest Missionary Church in Ellijay.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kenny Norton; daughter and son-in-law, Layne and William Lopez of Blue Ridge; son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Kristie Norton of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Justin Green of Mineral Bluff, Kristen Lopez, Reid Norton, and Owen Norton all of Blue Ridge; brother, Graylon Green of Morganton; sister, Joyce Ann Green of Epworth; and sister and brother-in-law, Penny and Ricky Bradburn of Morganton.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Glen Arnold officiating. Music was by Bobby and Norma Lowery and Teresa Chastain. Interment followed in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Anthony Holloway, Ricky Bradburn, William Lopez, Mario Espinoza, Mitchell Martin, and Tom Wright. Honorary pallbearers were Junior Burnette and Jeff Holloway.
