FCHS PAC Losing a Great Contributor

Greetings from the FCHS PAC!

On October 1st the Performing Arts Center is losing a wonderful contributor to the success of our facility – James Hooper.  James has been an integral part of the FCHS PAC organization for more than twelve years.

James loved working with the students at Fannin County High School and, even though not a certified educator, was always educational in the manner in which he supervised students working in the audio or video booth.  In turn, the students loved his manner, wit and care for them.

James was always around the school in one capacity or another.  He worked with drama students in learning audio and lighting skills, assisted with sound at school dances and sporting events, completed maintenance on school light and sound equipment, provided use of his personal equipment for many events, attended concerts, sporting events and shows in support of students and assisted with our Rebels Radio station.  His love of our youth encouraged him to enter upon a new career as Fannin County school bus driver.

James will certainly be missed and not easily replaced.  Luckily, James has trained many fine audio and theatrical lighting technicians that will help us maintain our level of professionalism.

We wish James the very best in this new chapter in his life.
