Fannin County High School Hosts 9th Grade Parent Night

Fannin county High will host a 9th Grade Parent Night on October 3, 2016 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.
Parents and students will rotate through three 20 minutes sessions including Being Successful in High School, presented by Mr. Erik Cioffi, Principal Fannin County High School which will include tips and advice on how to succeed in high school. Mr. Cioffi will review FLEX period, expectations, grades, balancing between school and social life along opportunities to become involved at school.
CTAE Director, Patti DuBois and 9th Grade Counselor, Tammy Roberts will present on
“College and Career Academy-Pathways to Follow” which will focus on Career Pathways/certifications offered at Fannin County High School, Capstone Project as a graduation requirement and preparing for post-secondary options during 9th grade year.
The third session will be on “How Math Adds Up,” with Fannin County High School Math Teachers, Angela Jones and Kim Kribbs. Mrs. Jones and Ms. Kribbs will present information on how to be successful in math class, the math sequence, and the importance of math in our everyday lives. Also, information will be provided on resources available for students in all levels of math ability.
“We are excited about the opportunity to provide support to 9th graders and their parents during this special and informative session,” stated Erik Cioffi. “The 9th grade year lays a foundation for high school and we are committed to providing information and support to all students in order to be successful” Mr. Cioffi added.
