Rebels Dominate Wildcats

On Friday the Rebels came out of the gate swinging. From the very first drive the tone for the rest of the game was set. Starting on defense the rebels forced a quick three-and-out. On their first offensive drive, the Rebels took to the air and scored fast. The very next offensive drive, after recovering a fumble near the 50, it took just one deep pass from QB, Brad Davis, to WR, Cooper Earls to score. Leading at the end of 1 by a score of 21-0, the Rebels were doing everything right.

During the second quarter Andrews continued to have everything go wrong. The Defense at one point recovered five consecutive fumbles. That’s not even an exaggeration, and the offense jumped on it. The Rebels scored yet another 21 points in the second. At half, with Fannin being up 42-0, the starters were pulled, and the 2nd string took over.

The Second string did very well. Which is a very encouraging, seeing what’s to come next season when many of the seniors graduate. The defense continued to lock down Andrews offense. During the fourth quarter, the Wildcats were driving deep into Rebels territory, but the the defense stood tall. Some people aren’t fans of the “Bend but don’t Break” mentality, but sometimes that’s what it will come down too.

This team did a great job all night! I couldn’t be happier for this group of guys. Next week is Homecoming for Fannin County, so be sure to come on out and support the Rebels as the North Hall Trojans come to town! Kick Off is at 7:30.
