Mr. James Rembert Payne, age 74 of Carnesville, Ga. passed away August 19, 2016 at Landmark Hospital. Athens, GA. Mr. Payne was born February 6, 1942 in Mineral Bluff, Ga. to the late Howard Payne and the late Joyce Arp Payne. A member of Hot House Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his father, Howard Payne, mother, Joyce Payne, sisters, Anna Mae Flowers, Eva Lou Newton, brothers, Billy Joe Payne, Charles Payne, Grady Payne,
Survivors include: wife, Frances Payne, daughters, Judy (Bryan) Oglesby, Pam Ritter, sons Tony Payne, Michael Payne, sister, Daisy Barfield, sister, Helen Leard, brother, Cecil Payne.
Graveside services: Monday, August 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Hot House Baptist Church Cemetery, Mineral Bluff, GA. with the Rev. Jimmy Cheatum officiating.
